God of the Tyne

This beautiful 'impressionist' Giclée Fine Art print shows the God of the River Tyne, cited at Civic Centre. The 'River God Tyne' (to give the art installation its true title), is based on one of the eight river gods represented on the sculptures on the front of Somerset House, London, dating from 1786. The original mask was surmounted by a basket of coals surrounded by a variety of emblems symbolising different trades of the Tyne Valley. Originally, this River God Tyne statue had a fountain within his outstretched hand coursing a constant stream of water along the tortured and twisted torso of the aquatic deity.

This Fine Art masterpiece is the ideal gift for yourself, or a loved one.

The artwork is strictly limited to a run of 25, assuring you of rare wall-art wherever it is displayed.

I print on beautiful Fine Art paper, using genuine  Epson archival inks. It is numbered and signed by the photographer and is accompanied by an embossed, signed certificate of authenticity. The certificate includes the limited-edition sequence number of the piece, along with a copy of the artwork.
